These architectural marvels, spanning diverse cultures and geographies, have long captivated the human imagination, leaving behind a legacy that transcends time.

Dr. Sam Osmanagich, also known as Semir Osmanagić, is a prominent Bosnian-American scientist born on June 1, 1960, renowned for his multifaceted endeavors in the realms of megalithic and pyramid sites, public speaking, prolific writing, and business ventures. Demonstrating a comprehensive engagement with his subject matter, Osmanagich has authored an extensive 18 volumes delving into the mysteries of ancient civilizations and has delivered lectures across numerous countries, establishing himself as an authoritative figure in the field.

In 2007, Osmanagich took his passion to television, producing a 12-episode documentary titled Search for Lost Civilization, which aired on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s state TV. Furthermore, he is the founder of the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation, a testament to his commitment to exploring and preserving archaeological treasures.

Osmanagich gained widespread recognition for his discovery of an ancient pyramid complex in Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina, postulating that these structures may constitute the largest and oldest man-made edifices globally. Not confined to a singular geographic focus, Osmanagich has conducted extensive research on pyramid sites worldwide, spanning over 100 countries, including China, Mauritius, Canary Islands, Egypt, and Peru. Beyond his pursuits in archaeology, he serves as a professor at the American University in Bosnia-Herzegovina and holds esteemed positions such as an overseas member of Moscow’s Russian Academy of Sciences, an honorary member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Art, and a member of the Bosnian Academy of Sciences and Art.

Osmanagich’s journey into pyramid exploration began in 2005 when he received an invitation to investigate the fortress ruins in Visocica, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Subsequently, he published a book supporting the hypothesis that the site was once a pyramid constructed by an advanced civilization.

Under Osmanagich’s guidance, his team has uncovered eleven artificial structures, including notable pyramids such as the Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon, Pyramid of Love, Pyramid of the Dragon, Temple of Mother Earth, Sixth Pyramid, Vratnica, Dolovi, Ginje Tumuli, the KTK Tunnels, and the Underground Labyrinth “Ravne” with six entrances to the tunnels.

Apart from his archaeological contributions, Osmanagich has been a trailblazer in community engagement, mobilizing over 3,750 volunteers to participate in his excavation projects. His transformative impact is exemplified by the conversion of a swampy and litter-strewn terrain into Park Ravne 2, a cultural hub hosting festivals, sports events, and even yoga sessions.
