Young Bishop: The Rapper Shaking Things Up in New Jersey

Growing up exposed to music, rapper Young Bishop knew that his passion lies in music. He has risen as a game-changer to the New Jersey rap scene with his talent and musical skills. His music is rapidly taking over New Jersey, making him the talk of the city, and he is bound to keep on growing. This hip-hop powerhouse is unstoppable in his journey to chasing his dreams.

Young Bishop comes from a family of musicians. His mother, uncle, and several other relatives were singers, rappers, and musicians; and he grew up surrounded by this art form. “It feels like I have been born into this industry,” the rapper shared. “And since my family is also musicians, they understand and support my journey in becoming an artist as well.”

Like many up-and-coming artists, this rapper traces his inspiration and pays homage to the music icons that have come before him. Like many rappers, Young Bishop idolizes hip-hop legend Tupac, saying, “Tupac’s music has really been with me since I was ten years old, and through all stages of my life. There’s just something different about the way he performs that makes him stand out. His music has been my biggest motivation in deciding to pursue a career as a rap artist.”

Young Bishop also shared that he takes inspiration from important people in his life and the experiences he went through. “My family and kids play a big part in my music. So I always want to create songs that will resonate with them,” the artist said, “and also draw on a lot of my experiences to formulate my music. This way, it flows more naturally to me and more relatable to everyone who hears it.”

This new artist is a man who wants more and better for himself, his family, and the people he holds most dear. Young Bishop has a strong drive to succeed, and he has developed a disciplined work ethic because of it. “I want to stay consistent and motivated,” he explained. “So you will often find me working and staying at the studio, making music and experimenting with lyrics and rhymes.”

Young Bishop describes his style as versatile. He said, “I sing, I can rap, and I can switch up my flow easily. Music and lyrics come naturally to me, and freestyling is definitely one of my strong suits. I am also very hands-on with my music. I like to pay special attention to how my tracks are produced so they feel distinctly mine and they reflect what I stand for as a person and as an artist.”

Recently, Young Bishop released the music video for his song “Stay Alive.” The song opens to the artist’s dulcet tones as he sings a couple of verses. Then the beat changes, and Young Bishop showcases his rapping abilities. Like his other songs, this track carries a powerful message, one that the artist would like to share with music fans everywhere.

Young Bishop has stayed true to his love of rap and music over the years. While he is gaining more attention now, he knows that there is still a lot of work ahead of him to solidify his music career. “I know that the work I’ve been doing for the past couple of years will pay off. I love what I’m doing with my music, and I am never going to give up on my dreams.”
