Inspire Your Daughters and Sons Inc. Equips Children and Their Families to Lead Successful and Meaningful Lives

They say that the family is the building block of society. After all, the home is where children learn basic and essential values. However, not everyone is blessed to have a smooth-sailing family life. So to help those who are struggling in this aspect, the visionary Yalanda Barber-Sweney decided to create Inspire Your Daughters and Sons Inc.

It is a Family and Children Advocacy nonprofit organization 501c(3) that aims to bring families together by guiding each member and helping them accomplish success and contentment. So to accomplish this objective, the venture focuses on Faith, Family, Fun, and Finance.

Through this insightful Four F Framework, families with children will get the adequate support they need to strengthen broken relationships, build stronger bonds, and produce generational wealth. The intuitive program also includes social and emotional learning tools that ensure everyone has fun while learning how to express themselves confidently.

The brand’s masterclasses and training courses, including its tight-knit Facebook Community, are all centered around this framework. On top of that, it inspires members to expand their network wisely by collaborating with CEOs, founders, small business owners, corporations, and government entities.

At the helm of Inspire Your Daughters and Sons is the inspiring founder Yalanda Barber-Sweney. She is the first African American woman to create a female and male toy curated as African American Foster Care Heroes, Princess Yaya, and King James. The alarming increase in divorce and child abuse rates during the pandemic has pushed the remarkable woman to create the nonprofit organization.

She profoundly shared, “Inspire your Daughters and Sons Inc is the voice of hope for many families. Our masterclasses, workshops, storytime readings, and webinars are all about empowering parents, guardians, caregivers, and youth. Mission – Inspire Your Daughters and Sons Inc (IYDAS) build and strengthen family connections and build confidence using visual arts and culture. Vision- To be the leading family and children advocacy center that uses the power of art to build confidence and family connections.”

The organization’s latest offering is the creative writing program, Kreative Master Minds. It allows youth between the ages of K-12  to find their voices and build their confidence through arts and culture, specifically creative writing.

As the venture thoroughly explained, “In this class, we focus on enrichment activities that promote mindfulness, self-esteem, identity, writing, and culture. We also create an environment that exposes inner-city youth to becoming a writer and possibly an author.”

These incredible frameworks and programs are a testament to the nonprofit organization’s unwavering commitment to its advocacy. In fact, Yalanda Barber-Sweney intends to continue the excellent work of Inspire Your Daughters and Sons moving forward.

Within the next few years, the founder aims to build a school and housing in Africa for families with children. Aside from that, she plans to build housing and an arts and culture studio with warehouse functionality in Atlanta. The organization will also expand its roster to teach and support all of the visual arts such as dance, drama, photography, drawing, music, and literature.
