The wedding took place at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ on August 12th. Guests included Alex Trebek, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter. Congratulations again, Amy!

Amy Schneider, the winner of “Jeopardy!” shares pictures from her wedding. The wedding was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on September 14th. The ceremony was officiated by her husband, Alex Trebek and featured readings by “The Office” actor John Krasinski and comedian Chelsea Handler.

Amy won her first appearance on Jeopardy! in 2004. She has since appeared on the game show ten times, winning once in 2010. This past Saturday, she married Brian Schneider, a longtime friend and colleague. Here she shares pictures from her big day.

In 2004, then-14-year-old Amy became one of the youngest contestants ever to appear on Jeopardy! When she did, she placed in the money within her first few games. She has since amassed a total of ten wins, including a 2010 victory over reigning champion Brad Rutter.

Saturday’s Wedding Was Held at Brian Schneider’s Home in Los Angeles

Guests like Alex Trebek and Sean Cullen as well as family and friends from both sides were invited.

Schneider said that a year ago, she was in Los Angeles ahead of her first  episode of “Jeopardy!”, which aired on Feb. 20, 2017. Her fiancé,Drew Elkins, was in town visiting from his home in Washington state. They decided to get married on Valentine’s Day and Schneider said it was a quick but fun process. 

They both wore mismatched outfits and Schneider’s mom made the cake. After the wedding, they headed back to Los Angeles for their honeymoon in Hawaii before Schneider started her second season of “Jeopardy!”

Episode of Jeopardy

Schneider and her husband, Tim, married on October 7th at the home of their best friends in Los Angeles. A reception followed at a nearby restaurant. The couple honeymooned in Europe before coming back to Los Angeles for their one-year anniversary celebration. 

In the video blog accompanying this post, Schneider tells how her wedding planning unfolded: 

“We started planning our wedding about six months out from the date, which was great because we had plenty of time to get to know each other better and figure out what we wanted.”

She Continued 

“We wanted it to be small and intimate so that all our family and closest friends could come together for one amazing day.”

The couple selected an eclectic mix of wedding vendors, including a florist who made custom bouquets using dried lavender from their backyard as filler.

In addition, they used Etsy to find a few unique pieces for their decor. One example was a vintage cake stand that they found on eBay. 

She said that before the show, she had been preparing for the big win with an intense fitness regimen leading up to the taping.

On Tuesday night, after playing the game against Ken Jennings and coming in as a champion with $117,000, Schneider shared some photos of her big day on Instagram.

Included in the snaps were a few shots of her new husband and two little ones, all clad in matching blue suits.

Amy Schneider may have won $117,000 on Jeopardy!, but it’s clear she’s got a lot more than money going for her. On Tuesday night, she married her longtime boyfriend in a beautiful ceremony at the Grand Hyatt in Los Angeles. The bride-to-be looked stunning in a flowing navy dress with a plunging neckline and delicate lace overlay. Her husband, who had flown in from his home state of Texas to be there, looked dapper in a formal black tuxedo. In addition to capturing delightful family snapshots (below), Schneider also shared an adorable video of herself and her husband signing their marriage license (above). Congratulations to the happy couple!

It was a double-elimination tournament and Schneider breezed through her first two games, but she was pitted against Ken Jennings, the all-time record holder for “Jeopardy!”

Jennings Had Won $2 Million on The Show

Schneider wound up winning by $23,000. She said that before the show, she had been preparing for the big win with an intense fitness regimen leading up to the taping. 

She credits her win to a healthy diet and plenty of rest, saying that “Jeopardy!” is physically demanding and takes a lot out of contestants.

On February 24, 2016

Amy Schneider, a contestant on the syndicated game show “Jeopardy!,” married her longtime boyfriend, Jonathan Toubin. The wedding took place at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills and was covered by the Hollywood Reporter. 

Schneider and Toubin met while they were both contestants on “Jeopardy!” in 2007. Schneider won the game show’s first annual Million Dollar Cash game in 2008 and Toubin finished second. They have since had two children together. 

The wedding featured a mix of traditional and contemporary elements, with a focus on eco-friendly details. The ceremony included readings from Shakespeare and Lao Tzu, while the reception featured a performance by singer-songwriter John Legend and a vegan buffet.
