In the quaint haven of Lake Elsinore, California, a 25-year-old musician named Alan Vondetrick King Hamilton, or AV King as he likes to be called, resides in a home that echoes with the vibrant sounds of his signature trumpet. With a confidence that shines and a relaxed vibe, AV King seems to draw inspiration from a purpose he believes comes directly from a higher power.

His home, a blend of nostalgia and minimalism, speaks volumes about his unconventional approach to life. Vintage furniture and dark wood cabinets, untouched and original, create an atmosphere that reflects the uniqueness of AV King Hamilton’s world. In this abode, conventionality takes a back seat, setting the stage for the extraordinary journey of the GoodSource Artist Collective.

Five years ago, AV King embarked on a mission, founding the GoodSource Artist Collective, a diverse group of creators bound by a shared love for God and a commitment to each other’s success. In AV’s words, it’s “the kingdom, the tribe, the ministry” — a team of artists dedicated to creating for the creator, driven by love and a greater purpose.

AV King’s vision was crystal clear from the start: “A team of creators that love God; helping each other, motivating each other, growing together, making the dreams happen.” What fuels this resolute vision and inspired momentum? AV King’s answer is simple yet profound: “The Holy Spirit does it.”

The GoodSource Artist Collective proudly boasts three main departments: music, media, and athletics. From vocalists, producers, and live instrumentalists to basketball players and skateboarders, the tribe is a melting pot of talent and passion. AV King emphasizes the importance of like-minded individuals with hearts in the right place, building a community that supports and uplifts each other.

The media department of GoodSource Artist Collective is a powerhouse of creativity, comprising photographers, videographers, and editors who play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of up-and-coming artists and athletes in the contemporary landscape of social media. Recognizing the significance of visual storytelling, this talented team weaves compelling narratives that transcend traditional boundaries.

GoodSource Artist Collective is gearing up for the release of its second installment in a series of short skateboarding films. Excitement is building as the collective eagerly anticipates the imminent drop of their first full-length skate film, promising an immersive experience that goes beyond the conventional and ventures into the realms of artistic exploration and cultural impact.

Reflecting on his journey, AV King takes us back to the fourth grade when he discovered his love for the trumpet. His first dream was to play in the NBA, fueled by a passion for basketball that still burns bright. Today, he finds joy in living his dream. “Imagine someone’s like, ‘My dream is to have a tree,’ [then] it sprouts, and they’ve got a little tree. I’m already living my dream; now the tree’s gonna keep on growing. There’s gonna be more branches, more birds, [and more] bees on the tree,” he happily shares.

GoodSource Artist Collective’s reach extends beyond Lake Elsinore, leaving its mark on luxurious scenes in Malibu, Santa Monica, and Wine Country. The tribe even ventured to Northern California, where they performed alongside the world-renowned ensemble 1500 or Nothin’ in San Francisco. The live band dazzles audiences with spirit-driven shows, making their mark on the music scene.

In recent ventures, GoodSource Artist Collective collaborated with Jay Millian, a rising artist from Long Beach, on his upcoming record at Red Bull Records, Los Angeles. Millian’s single “Baby” featured in the NBA 2K23′ Season 7′ soundtrack, showcasing the collective’s growing influence in the industry.

Back in Lake Elsinore, AV King plants roots in community upliftment. Through GoodSource Artist Collective, he organizes local art shows, both musical and visual, partnering with local businesses. Free basketball training sessions for youth and aspiring athletes, five vs. five matches, and takeovers of local gyms contribute to the community’s growth.

As AV King reflects on the past, he attributes the collective’s success to the guidance of The Holy Spirit. “To think about something like this is wild, but it just felt right, and I knew what the mission was,” he thoughtfully adds. Looking ahead, he envisions GoodSource Artist Collective growing even larger in the next five years. “Bigger,” he says with a smile, “The tree will be much, much larger.” The journey of AV King Hamilton and GoodSource Artist Collective is not just a musical odyssey; it’s a testament to the power of vision, community, and the spirit that drives it all.
