Will Elmgren, better known as The Clouded Barber, has built a successful barbering brand through an unconventional path. From cutting hair as a hobby during his time as a hip-hop artist to overcoming personal obstacles, his story is an inspiring tale of perseverance, determination, and passion.
In his early days as a hip-hop artist in Toronto, Will collaborated with artists like Sadat X from Brand Nubian and performed at various venues, including the Opera House. During this time, he honed his hair-cutting skills, eventually becoming the go-to barber for his friends. It was only after enrolling in a hairstyling program that Will discovered his true calling.
Finding the right barbershop to work at wasn’t an easy task, but Will’s perseverance led him to the Barbershop Vaughan Mills, where he has been refining his craft for the past nine years. Building a loyal client base proved challenging, but Will’s dedication to his art and commitment to customer service helped him stand out.
Will spent countless hours studying other barbers on YouTube and mastering new techniques, always putting his clients’ needs first. This dedication earned him the opportunity to participate in the Flawless Fade Championship at the Iconic Men Expo, a testament to his hard work and passion for the craft.
However, success did not come without its challenges. Will struggled with social anxiety, making it difficult for him to interact with clients and co-workers. Through therapy and a strong support network of friends and family, he managed to overcome this obstacle and continue his journey to success.

His goal is to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for clients, and he dreams of opening his own barbershop/suite to continue providing exceptional haircuts and growing as a barber and individual.
