In the vibrant heart of the hospitality industry, Rellies Hospitality is hosting the event of the year: The Mixologist Of the Year Awards National Finals (MOYA). This superb event is sponsored by Mercer + Prince Whisky and is a nationwide cocktail competition celebrating the commendable achievements of those who have masterfully blended their skills with cocktails and customers alike.

Hosted in magnificent Atlanta, 15 mixologist maestros will come together to compete, shake, and stir their way towards being crowned the Most Prolific Bartender. This ultimate bartender battle is more than an exhibition of talent; it’s a testament to the unstinting spirit of those in the hospitality industry, a celebration of their resilience, artistry, and innovation.

Founded by Terrill Patterson, Rellies Hospitality stands firmly behind the motto, “We Only Know Premium”. This prestigious event encapsulates the essence of their ethos, providing a platform where top-notch hospitality workers receive recognition and accolades they wholeheartedly deserve.

The 4th Annual MOYA Competition finalists have been selected from nationwide winners. Ranking at the top, Jeremy Hayes, the Midtown Melee III winner hails from Atlanta. Other contenders include Nicholas Kaylan, the Beast of the East Invitational winner; Anthony Lopez, the Battle for Brickell winner coming in from Miami; and Alin Florea, the Manhunt in Manhattan winner, among others. Wild Card contestant Ed Warner, Brawl on Bourbon St. National Open winner will also compete, adding an exciting unpredictability to the competition.

Seated in judgment will be Tiffanie Barriere, known as The Drinking Coach; Caleb Giles, the 2022 MOYA Champion; and Josh Davis of Brown and Balanced Chicago, IL. With their collective expertise, they’ll be evaluating the contestants on a gamut of criteria – from creativity and presentation to mixology techniques and that undefinable sparkle that sets the top bartenders apart from the pack.

The action unfolds on January 15, 2024 at 7pm at the soulful Negril ATL, located at 30 North Avenue, Downtown Atlanta. Those interested in witnessing these master mixologists can purchase tickets at www.RelliesHospitality.com/shop. It promises to be a night of shaking, stirring, and savoring as finalists craft and pour their magic, one cocktail at a time.

At its core, the MOYA competition goes beyond finding the best in the field; It’s about giving back, about recognizing and rewarding the incredible work of these professionals. Every cocktail mixed, poured, and served is a testament to the dedication and passion of the mixologist. This competition serves to remind everyone of the creativity and hard work that goes into this profession.

This ultimate accolade is not just about the winner but the entire community of immensely talented mixologists who deserve recognition for their tireless contribution to the industry. No matter who the final winner is, every finalist will leave their name and signature cocktail mix in the pages of the hospitality industry.

In the words of Terrill Patterson, “We’ve created an ironclad system that participants and all involved can really be proud of.” And this rings true as the MOYA competition approaches soon. The competition invites everyone to raise a glass to celebrate the industry, the competition, and most importantly, the mixologists themselves.
