John Tolley’s journey began when he graduated from the University of Central Florida, with a Bachelor of Science and Double Major in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice. He went on to achieve his Juris Doctor in 2014 from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. As a law student, Tolley was active in the Nova Trial Association and Moot Court Society, where he represented the school in nationwide mock trial and appellate advocacy competitions.
Upon graduating, John Tolley added to his advocacy experience by serving as a prosecutor and handling numerous felony and misdemeanor cases. His talent and drive landed him a quick promotion to Special Unit Prosecutor, handling violent first-degree felonies. John Tolley would later take his skills and apply them to Civil Litigation Insurance Defense.
After years of practice in both civil and criminal litigation, John Tolley opened JT Law Firm. The firm specializes in developing genuine connections with its clients. Monica Balyasny joined John Tolley in the founding of JT Law Firm. Monica Balyasny is a licensed attorney in New York and in Florida. She graduated from John Jay College in 2012, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice before moving to South Florida to acquire her Juris Doctor in 2018. Starting from her days as a student, Monica has always been exceptional in legal research and writing. She graduated early and started her career working for several law firms, drafting legal documents for both the State and Federal Courts. Monica Balyasny officially partnered with John Tolley in 2020, unveiling the firm’s new immigration department.
