Art Influencer Andrea Cordero Changing the World and Inspiring Hope Through Art

Art is often said to be a means of self-expression and can help a person convey difficult emotions. This proves true for artist, entrepreneur and rising influencer Andrea “Andi” Cordero, who uses her talents to affect change and support charitable causes in her immediate environment.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, USA, Andrea Cordero is a “Chicana,” a Mexican-American artist with strong Italian and Aztec heritage. She started working in the entertainment industry as a teenager. For the last seventeen years, she has explored the artistic industry in the USA and the UK, working in almost every arts-based field alongside major content creators, artists, designers, musicians, and actors and other creatives. As a bi-racial artist, Andrea explores her Mexican heritage by creating Calavera portraits of “modern muses” mostly portrayed as men challenging the gender norms of artist/muse—while combining traditional Mexican sugar skulls with the cultures of the model’s ethnic background. Every art piece is then accompanied by lyrics to a song as well.

In addition to her brilliant work in fine art and digital arts, Andrea is also a world-renowned Sheffield Institute certified audio engineer, a set designer and a talented actress. To culminate all of her artistic endeavors and diverse skills, she established AddiRockART. This creative space allows her to bring her savvy to the table and provide custom work and personal branding for creatives of all kinds. For example, during the pandemic, she provided artworks and creative ads for several brands and charities to help raise awareness for individual campaigns. Through her work, Andrea wants to continue to bring creatives together, and champion causes in her unique way by bringing an artists’ touch to everything. She wants to see struggling cities like Baltimore, Maryland and Peterborough, the UK, rise with help from the Arts and become established as world-class Art attractions.

Her motivation to positively impact and transform her community stems from her experience as a survivor of assault and armed robbery in Baltimore, where she attended art school, college, and university locally. To help raise awareness of PTSD and the aftermath of such crimes, she works with other creatives in the city championing charitable causes. As she relocates to Peterborough, UK, to pursue her master’s and doctorate, she wants to extend her support to the Peterborough art community as they develop a beautiful art culture.

Through her company, AddiRockART,  Andrea donates art and time to many causes, including COVAID for Mask our Heroes and others. In addition, she voluntarily makes merch and branding for struggling creatives to help them look more professional. In the future, she to become a full-time creative with art in galleries, self-branded, with merchandise, videos, courses, supporting charities, teaching / helping others. She also wants to expand her charitable efforts, and Her ultimate goal is to build an international, diverse community of “ARTfluencers,” which would be creatives all supporting each other. In addition, she wants to create causes that support minorities and celebrate cultures worldwide.
