Chadwick Johnson Blends Law, Meditation, and Mindfulness in Legal Practice

As the world’s spotlight has been turned on mental health, finally giving it the attention it deserves, more people are becoming aware of the true impact of an individual’s state of mind on their overall health. Attorney Chadwick Johnson has made it his mission to provide mindfulness awareness, alongside legal counsel, to his clients and community.

Born in Los Angeles, California, mindfulness enthusiast and thought leader Chadwick J. Johnson is the founder of Mindful Injury Law, a legal firm representing individuals who have been injured physically, mentally, or emotionally by another person’s negligence. In an effective, if unorthodox approach, Chadwick has incorporated mindfulness into the business model of his practice. With a passion for helping others achieve self-mastery and inner serenity, his strategy allows him to bring awareness about the advantages of mindfulness to his clients, staff, and community.

In his early years, Chadwick and his family moved around quite a bit – moving from Los Angeles to Sherman, Texas, before migrating back west to Novato, California, and eventually settling in Vallejo, California. Chadwick attended the California State University of Sacramento on a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Additionally, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of law in 2009 while still working as a software developer for Hewlett Packard during that time.

Around 2011, Chadwick started organizing mindfulness workshops for both private and public parties in his community, earning him recognition and invitations to speak on self-discovery, self-mastery, and mindfulness at various venues. Regarded for his compassion and humility, Chadwick guided his audience to understanding, dissolving doubts and simplifying complex concepts – distilling them in a way that left a lasting and meaningful impact on the crowd.

Devoted to helping and giving back to his community, Chadwick launched The W.A.Y. Project in 2012 – a volunteer organization created to raise awareness and provide resources regarding the benefits of meditation and mindfulness. In addition, Chadwick Johnson serves as the Mindfulness Coach for Volunteers of America. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the California State University of Sacramento Alumni Association. The father of five has volunteered enormous amounts of time at online communities, college campuses, drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities, and a dozen other venues throughout the state.

Leveraging on the success of his workshops and combining it with his legal background, Chadwick Johnson established his firm, Mindful Injury Law, in 2018, to continue his community work of mindfulness practice and outreach, particularly to the youth, while simultaneously rendering legal service to people who suffer from stress-related injuries. Since then, he has accepted speaking engagements, workshop opportunities, podcast interviews, and other platform invitations, sharing his ultimate goal to unite the world via mindfulness and self-empowerment. Speaking on his guiding principle, he said, “Make peace of mind your number 1 priority, and organize your life around that.”

The Mindful Injury Law firm remains the only Injury law company offering informative resources and workshops to both their clients and the public. Through Chadwick’s efforts and unique method, clients who have suffered related injuries or accidents find healing and gain a vital tool that can be employed to great advantage throughout their lives.
