Austell, Georgia, is preparing for a night where soul rises, stories breathe, and live music takes its rightful place at center stage.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Alonia “The Silky Songstress” and The Groove Theory Collective will bring The Soul Takeover to the Riverside Epicenter, an evening shaped by velvet vocals, rich instrumentation, and the kind of energy that gathers people close.
What Guests Can Expect on Show Night
The night begins at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4:15 p.m. Guests will be welcomed with a full red-carpet experience hosted by a dedicated red-carpet correspondent, offering interviews, photo moments, and the first spark of the evening’s excitement. Once inside, celebrity host Kiana Dancie will guide the show with her signature charisma and electric presence, elevating the atmosphere as The Venus Kings open the night and set the tone.
Alonia describes her sound as Flavorful Soul, a blend of R&B, jazz, gospel, and neo-soul carried by a live band rather than backing tracks. The Groove Theory Collective brings more than 50 years of combined professional playing experience to the stage.
A Peabo Bryson Tribute and a Student Scholarship
A tribute to Peabo Bryson and the presentation of the Destiny Dreamers Scholarship add depth and purpose, honoring legacy while uplifting new voices. The scholarship will be awarded to a student during the show itself, in front of the audience. Powered by Dream 2 Destiny Enterprises, a full-service corporate communications and human development company, The Soul Takeover invites audiences to gather, exhale, and be carried by the rhythm of soul. “We could not be more excited about this, our 6th production,” states Alonia, “because this is more than just a concert. It’s an opportunity to fortify our dedication to empowering youth through education, mentorship, and opportunity, helping them discover their gifts and build legacies that last through The Dream Institute Collaborative, Inc., our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.”
